This piece is a self-portrait by Zhang Huan and contains nine images. These images are C-prints on Fuji archival paper. It examines identity in a media-saturated society. Huan had three calligraphers write on his face from early morning until night. What is written on Huan's face is a story about the spirit of family; The story is well-known chinese fable. The portrait explores Huan's history and personal identity. I was amazed at the visual progression from photo to photo. The images look legitimate to the supposed creation of this art piece.
